On 3rd May 2007 – Pha Rung shipyard Company (a subsidiary of Vinashin Group) organized successfully the launch 20,000DWT M/V Vinashin Bay before thousands of its officers, Corp Leader, Department of Vinashin, Shipowner’s Representative (Vinashin Maritime Company), leaders from local central and foreign partners.
It is 1st ship of 20,000DWT fleet, built on new slip-away by Pha Rung shipyard Company. It was installed with modern machines and equipments satisfied all requirements of all international maritime Conventions. All steps from designing technique and execution till testing model carried out by Vietnam Marine Science and Technology. It’s also executed under the supervising, checking, getting result by The Registry of Vietnam.

During the executive process, under the close direction of Corp Leader, Vinashin Maritime Company combination, Marine science & technology, Department of Vinashin, all Pha Rung shipyard Company members made a high quality products, by applying initiations, technique innovations, rationalization and conducting from outworking, installation till launch preparation. The launch has performed as schedule with best safety.
After successfully launch M/V Vinashin Bay, Pha Rung shipyard Company carry out keel laying of 34,000DWT ship with sign HR34-PR01 ceremony and start to build new 2nd 34,000DWT ship with sign HR34-PR02 for Owner is GRAIG (in UK).
Three events in one day marked a great turning-point of Pha Rung shipyard Company.
